Everybody always asks! The pineapple is an international symbol of welcome and hospitality.

Now the fruit are common place, but in the past it was a delicacy. Its exotic sweetness, and regal appearance made it a symbol of prosperity. It would be an honor for a host or hostess to welcome guests with pineapple.

The story of the pineapple captures our own story: to create spaces of welcome—spaces that make you want to stay.
